He was, apparently, in a few episodes of "Smallville", and one episode of "One Tree Hill", and...AHA! That short-lived show "Reunion"! That was it! Hey, whatever happened to that show?

We like this Sean Faris. He should be in more things! He's too pretty to just languish in sub-par dramaland! He's underappreciated! Just like Paul Walker!

Oh, and he was also recently in some kickboxing movie that only guys saw. That makes no sense!

Oh, okay, what was the name of the kickboxing movie?

"Never Back Down"?

What's that? It's not a kickboxing movie, but some high school drama about an underground fight club?

Well, whatever it is, it's going in the Netflix queue.

The 2008 Summer Olympics officially begin today, and we are reminded of enormous drive, steadfast determination, remarkable feats of strength and endurance, world-class athleticism, and the triumph of the human spirit. We are also reminded of Aaron Peirsol - backstroker.

I had completely forgotten about one of my favorite parts of Olympics-viewing: athlete crushes! Aaron Peirsol was one of my favorites in the 2004 Summer Olympics, and I feel almost guilty at my fickle adoration, which seemed to fade the instant the closing ceremonies ended. But the 2008 Opening Ceremonies are today! Aaron! I'm here for you!  Until around August 24.  But still!

Chris Evans is another actor I would like to see more of. I did not see "The Nanny Diaries" or "Cellular", but I did quite enjoy Mr. Evans in his skintight scuba suit for the movie "Fantastic Four", where he played a superhero who could either run really fast, or set things on fire.

Without doing any fact-checking, I'm going to go with "set things on fire".

And me, without my flame-retardant clothing!

Oh Batman. Your special bat-toolbelt is so big. Sometimes I wish Christian Bale didn't have so much integrity, so he would do more gratuitous nudity in films. And when I say "sometimes" I mean "all the time". "The Dark Knight" opens today, and Christian will be wearing a skintight rubber suit, so I guess that is something.

And I just stumbled upon something called "Metroland", which appears to be an art film, and we know what that means.

I have no idea what Paul Walker has been up to lately, but there is probably a "Fast & Furious" movie coming soon to a theater near you. In my opinion, this man is a wildly underused cog in the Hollywood movie-machine. I watched "Meet the Deedles" just to see him. "Meet the Deedles" for crying out loud! Hollywood, PLEASE! Give this guy some better vehicles!
